We are really looking forward to our first Thrive festival and we are bringing with us our freeze dried fruit. If you never heard of freeze dried fruit you are probably wondering what it is and how it is frozen and dried. So in a nutshell freeze dying is a process whereby the fruit is quick frozen and then dried in vacuum where all the moisture is taken out of the fruit (or any food for that matter, but let’s leave that to the astronauts). Taking out the moisture leaves the fruit in its purest form (95% nutrients are preserved) and makes it nice and crispy.
Our fruit doesn’t contain any nasty surprises in the ingredients list (no additives, no preservatives) which makes it safe for everyone, even small children. It can be eaten by athletes, people on the go, professionals and everyone in between.
Freeze dried fruit has so many uses. You can eat it simply as a snack on the go or use it in cooking and baking. When you use the fruit in cooking and baking it will absorb moisture and will be really similar to using fresh fruit. It’s also regularly used in fancy restaurants as a nice garnish on desserts.
