Kate McDaid, Health and Performance Nutritionist and founder of NutriKate.
Having played and captained the Irish Basketball team, the importance of nutrition became apparent to Kate at a young age however working alongside a nutritionist at the age of 15 is where her true passion for nutrition blossomed. This experience focused on promoting health and wellness, an area outside of sport that Kate realised she had a keen interest in.
Kate followed her ambition leading her to Loughborough University where she graduated with a masters in Sports and Exercise Nutrition. Kate quickly secured a role, advancing to senior health and performance nutritionist in the UK’s leading nutrition consultancy. Here she was able to build an extensive portfolio working with professional sports teams, elite sporting scholars, corporate clients, charity organisations, weight-loss and health seeking individuals.
Kate returned to Ireland in 2017 with this experience and founded NutriKate, her Dublin based nutrition consultancy. The NutriKate team works with an array of clients, working with athletes and individuals looking to improve their health, performance or body composition. They deliver nutritional workshops, seminars and support to corporate entities and sports clubs around the country too. NutriKate’s philosophy is simple yet effective; that the correct nutrition practices should be easy, attainable and affordable. Kate and her team strive to cut through the nonsense and deliver advice and content that holds truth, practicality and relevance.
