Christine Gioia is a Reformer, Barre and Mat Pilates teacher with over 5 years teaching experience hailing from sunny South Africa.
Christine strongly believes that in order to improve the quality of a client’s motion patterns and to effectively teach movement, one must deeply understand the anatomy and biomechanics of the body as it moves, and at the same time be well able to make those complex concepts accessible to clients.
As such, Christine is completing a full B.Sc degree in Applied Physical Therapy and Health Sciences with a strong emphasis on advanced anatomy, neuropathodynamics and manual therapy techniques.
In a previous life Christine worked in Renewable energy and for some time in Digital Media after completing a MA in Sustainability science at Kings College London, as well as a B.Com in Marketing from the University of Pretoria.
Her continuous study, curiosity, a healthy dash of movement obsession, and a keen eye for movement repatterning, allows her to programme classes that target and address maladaptive compensatory habits, whilst simultaneously lengthening and toning the entire body. So, join Christine on a movement journey, get to know your anatomy, get strong, learn about your body, and take ownership of your human experience. The juicy burn, the toned arms n’ abs, and the endorphin rush… consider that a bonus.
