At THRIVE Festival 2020 we’re highlighting some of the incredible Irish brands exhibiting with us and being part of our THRIVE Marketplace. Find out more about some of these Irish businesses and their stories throughout our blog series, Support Irish at THRIVE.
In August 2017, Sharon Keegan, founder of PeachyLean, walked out of her local gym with tears in her eyes having spoken to yet another woman who was unhappy with the way that they looked.
The lack of self-esteem and body confidence amongst her peers compelled her to try to change the preconception of the health and fitness body image; a problem that was increasing with the ever growing presence of images of unattainable body perfection on Instagram, Facebook and mainstream media.
Sharon felt that if these platforms could be used to spread a message of body positivity instead it could be a powerful tool. This combined with her own difficulty in finding supportive, flattering, good quality gym wear led to the inception of PeachyLean.
PeachyLean is a brand selling Confidence, Support and Self-esteem in the form of Spandex and Nylon. PeachyLean shapewear and active wear is becoming the new go-to product for women who want comfort and confidence.
“If we can make women feel good by supporting their shape, their confidence will grow and their positive body image and self-esteem will follow.” Sharon explained.
Since then, PeachyLean has gone from strength to strength.
Their innovative, award winning Irish support wear now sells worldwide and continues to gain momentum.
2019 was an eventful year for PeachyLean with the arrival of Sharon’s second child and a move to a new studio and office in Dublin City centre.
The brand has also been running their Face of Peachy Lean Campaign in which 12 women; all PeachyLean customers of all shapes and sizes, were chosen to represent the brand throughout the year and encouraged and supported to achieve their own personal dreams and goals. As part of The PeachyLean Supports a Dream Campaign, we have seen some amazing stories emerge and some real examples of inner strength and beauty. Watch their amazing stories on our Youtube link or in the video section on this website.
The studio is located at 39c Fashion City, in Ballymount.
PeachyLean will be at THRIVE 2020 hosting the below talks across the weekend by their PeachyLean ambassadors Niamh Keogh, Megan Williams, Claire McGlynn, Hannah Nash and Amanda Delaney.
