Gayle was bitten by the yoga bug almost a decade ago, at a time where she barely knew where her toes were, never mind if she could touch them! Inhabiting what felt like a very stiff, tight, awkward body, yoga helped her feel at home in her skin. Class by class, posture by posture, Gayle fell in love with the practice, deciding to travel to Kerala, India in 2012 where she completed her first teacher training in Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga. A little time later, she stumbled into a Kundalini yoga class and that’s when yoga fever really set in! Her hunger for knowledge and a deeper understanding of the practice led her to undertake a year-long Level 1 training in Kundalini Yoga here in Ireland in 2015. Because of the profound impact, it had on her overall well being she commenced her Level 2 Kundalini training in 2017 with two of the five modules under Gurmukh in India and one module in 2018 with Shiv Charan in Italy.
Loving yoga in all its forms, and always keen to explore different ways to move, Gayle delved into the practice of Yin yoga, obtaining teaching certification through the Sampoorna Yoga School in Goa, India in 2017.
Her purpose now is to make the transformational technology of yoga more accessible to everyone. Completely non-discriminatory, Kundalini Yoga truly is for everyBODY, regardless of age, size, flexibility or gender. Gayle believes the goal of yoga is not to become a contortionist but to enjoy the body we have. Can’t touch your toes? No problem! Don’t own a pair of yoga pants (and perhaps don’t ever want to)? So what! Haven’t a clue what a downward dog is? You don’t need to! All you need is your body, your breath and a little time. In fact, you can reap the benefits of Kundalini Yoga in as little as 3 minutes a day!
Through the kriyas (physical postures), pranayam (breath work) mantras (chanting) and meditations Kundalini Yoga can expand your awareness, improve your health, enhance your vitality, clear blocks, and ultimately bring more joy to your life.
